The law firm grows: New limited partners and contract partners

The firm’s limited partners have been joined by Łukasz Lasek and Dr Antoni Bolecki. Dr Kinga Ziemnicka, Igor Hanas and Maciej Szewczyk have become contract partners.

New limited partners

Łukasz Lasek, adwokat, handles international commercial disputes and criminal cases involving fraud, corruption, and money laundering. He is a certified mediator at the Mediation Centre at the Polish Bar Council. He holds Polish and English legal qualifications (adwokat in Poland; solicitor in England and Wales, not currently practising). He is a member of the Warsaw Bar Chamber, the Law Society of England and Wales, and the European Criminal Bar Association. He is also a member of the board of trustees of the Academy of European Law (ERA) in Trier, Germany, and the Dean’s Global Advisory Board at Indiana University Maurer School of Law in the US.

Antoni Bolecki, attorney-at-law, PhD in economics (management), is responsible for the firm’s Competition and Consumer Protection practice. He specialises in competition and consumer law as well as judicial and administrative proceedings. In representing his clients every day, he relies on a strong theoretical foundation established through his scholarly work. He has participated in many of the largest transactions in Poland as well as leading judicial and antitrust proceedings, particularly in the FMCG, financial, energy, TMT, and rail sectors.

New contract partners

Dr Kinga Ziemnicka, attorney-at-law, specialises in corporate matters and M&A transactions, and also heads the Corporate Accounting practice. She represents clients in corporate disputes between shareholders and challenges to corporate resolutions. She also coordinates legal support for clients in M&A transactions: structuring of transactions, negotiations of agreements for sale of shares and enterprises, and investment agreements involving establishment of corporate relations and capital financing. She also advises clients in ongoing corporate matters, particularly involving creation, restructuring and liquidation of companies and partnerships.

Igor Hanas, adwokat, co-leads the Energy practice. He advises clients from the sectors of renewable and conventional energy and chemicals in regulatory and development matters, including acquisition of development projects. He advises clients in obtaining concessions for production, sale and distribution of energy, and represents clients before concession authorities. He also advises companies on matters of self-generation, corporate power purchase agreements, and trading in energy, including on energy exchanges. For many years he has advised engineering, procurement and construction contractors in development projects in the energy sector.

Maciej A. Szewczyk, attorney-at-law, handles commercial law, particularly M&A transactions. He also provides ongoing legal assistance to companies operating in Poland. He has taken part in numerous complex transactions (including multi-jurisdictional transactions) involving acquisition and sale of enterprises, assets and shares. He is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales (currently not practising) and coordinates the activity of the firm’s Common Law Desk.
